Once again Taos participated in the Glam Trash Fashion Show put on by Nicole Kowalski. As always the event was highly creative and very inspirational.
This year I created my outfit entirely from trash collected from the World Cup coffee shop. I sliced Thomas’s bagel bags and cup sleeves into strips, tied them together, and knit them into a coat with a hood. The tear drop shaped sequins are cut from Organic Valley milk jugs and knit into the coat.
The outfit underneath is created from 5 lb coffee bags turned inside-out and a bike inner tube belt. The geisha sandals are constructed from scrap sugar pine wood and recycled bike innertube.
